Privacy Policy
Last updated 7 September 2026. This policy explains what Manaaki collects, why, how it is protected, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
Manaaki Solutions ("Manaaki", "we") operates the manaaki.in website and the Manaaki hospitality platform (the Hub, the mobile applications and the guest-facing ordering pages). Questions about this policy go to hello@manaaki.in.
Two kinds of data, two roles
For the website and for your Manaaki account, we decide how personal data is used. For the data a property records in the platform — its guests, bookings, bills and staff — the property decides, and Manaaki processes that data only to provide the service. This policy covers both.
What we collect on the website
- Demo requests: your name, business name, phone, email, city, business type and the sizing details you choose to give. Used only to arrange and follow up your demo.
- Usage analytics: page views and interactions collected through Google Analytics, which sets cookies. We use it to understand which pages help and which do not. It is not used to identify you.
- Server logs: IP address, browser and time of request, kept for security and troubleshooting for a limited period.
What we collect for your account
- Account details: your name, phone number, email, property name and address, GSTIN where you provide it.
- Subscription records: plan, billing period, payments and the GST invoices we issue to you.
- Sign-in data: one-time codes sent to your phone or email, personal PINs stored hashed, and the devices you provision.
- Support correspondence.
What a property records in the platform
A property using Manaaki records the data it needs to operate: guest names and contact details, reservations and stays, identity documents captured at check-in, orders, bills, folios and payments, staff records including attendance and pay, and inventory. The property is responsible for collecting this data lawfully and for informing its guests and staff. Manaaki stores and processes it on the property's instructions and does not use it for any other purpose.
Identity documents
Guest identity document numbers are stored encrypted at rest and displayed masked. Revealing a full number requires an owner- or admin-level role at the property and is recorded. Scanned document images are stored encrypted and decrypted only to serve an authorised request. Manaaki staff do not access guest documents except where a property asks us to, in writing, to resolve a support issue.
How data is protected
- Every request is separated by property; one property cannot read another's data.
- Financial records are an append-only ledger; nothing is edited after the fact.
- Permissions are per action, and every sensitive action carries who performed it.
- Data travels over HTTPS. Phones keep a working copy of the restaurant data they need for service; it syncs to the server and is removed when the device is deprovisioned.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run Manaaki — cloud hosting, SMS and email delivery for one-time codes and notices, and analytics for the website — and only what they need. We disclose data when the law requires it, and we tell the property when we are allowed to.
How long we keep it
Demo requests are kept while we are in conversation with you and deleted on request. Account and subscription records, including invoices, are kept for as long as the law on tax records requires. A property's operational data is kept for as long as the property subscribes; on termination the property may take its data with it, and we delete our copy after a reasonable handover period unless the law requires otherwise.
Your rights
You can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to hello@manaaki.in. If your data was recorded by a property using Manaaki — for example as a guest — please ask the property first; we will help them respond. We aim to answer within 30 days. This policy is written with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in mind.
Cookies
The website uses cookies for analytics and to remember your theme choice. The Hub uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. You can block cookies in your browser; the website still works.
Changes
When this policy changes we update the date at the top and, for changes that matter, tell account holders by email before they take effect.
